Michael J. Bercik Jr., MD

Michael J. Bercik Jr., MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with sub-specialty training in shoulder surgery, elbow surgery, and orthopedic trauma. With offices in Lancaster, Ephrata, and Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, he has proudly served Lancaster County and the surrounding Pennsylvania communities with comprehensive, superior orthopedic care since 1985.

Dr. Bercik dedicates himself to sub-specialty care in shoulder and elbow surgeries, enabling him to refine his area of expertise and provide exceptional outcomes for every patient. He graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.

While at Rutgers, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Society. He went on to complete a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the Mark D. Chilton award for outstanding patient care and the annual orthopedic in-training examination award for the highest residency score.

Dr. Bercik also completed a fellowship in reconstructive surgery and trauma at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he perfected the most advanced techniques for treating fractures and post-traumatic complications. He completed two international fellowships with a focus on shoulder and elbow ailments. 

Dr. Bercik treats broken bones, frozen shoulder, shoulder arthritis, shoulder dislocations, shoulder fractures, shoulder separations, shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff tears, and other forms of musculoskeletal trauma. 

Dr. Bercik specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic Latarjet procedures, trauma and fracture care, comprehensive elbow services, and other procedures that repair shoulder injuries, ease pain, and restore range of motion and joint mobility.
