  1. Stand or sit upright 
  2. Keeping the back straight, pull your shoulders forward, then move them slowly upward and back, continuing the movement to make a large circle. 
  3. Repeat this circular movement 10 times
  4. Switch directions and repeat 10 times

Across the chest stretch

This stretch is excellent for increasing the range of motion in the shoulder. To perform this exercise, follow these steps:

  1. Sit or stand upright with you back straight
  2. Bring one arm across your chest
  3. Use the other arm to gently pull the arm closer to the chest until you feel a stretch along the back of the shoulder
  4. Hold for up to 1 minute
  5. Repeat on the other side

  1. Sit or stand with the back upright
  2. Lower the chin toward the chest
  3. Gently tilt your right ear toward your right shoulder. Focus on keeping the left shoulder in a neutral position. You should feel a stretch along the left side of the neck and shoulder
  4. Hold for up to 1 minute
  5. Repeat on the other side
  6. This can be repeated multiple times throughout the day
